CHAPTER I
Born in Germany, Werner Muller came to Elis Island in 1830 at age 23. After receiving his citizenship papers, He followed a man he met on the boat to a small hamlet in Pennsylvania. He became the accountant for the Unified Kerosene company. Over the next 2 years Werner succeeded to embezzle almost $20,000 (Over half million dollars in todays world) from the incredibly successful oil company. His luck ran out on December 23, 1832 when he was caught having relations with the owner's daughter in a supply closet. He was never suspected of the embezzlement.
When Warren, PA became incorporated in 1832, just prior to Werner being fired, he cleverly changed his name to Warren and proclaimed that the new city was named after him.
His Great, Great, Great, Grandfather was a successful brewer and lawyer in Germany and helped write the famous Reinheitsgebot beer purity laws in Germany. Each Muller generation after perfected the art of Brewing using the laws but never opened a commercial brewery but instead provided their family brew to neighbors and visiting family.
Warren had kept the family tradition of brewing as soon as he was established in the Pennsylvania community and decided that he would turn his hobby into a career after being fired. He choose a location on the west side of the river on Pennsylvania Avenue. The brewery became an instant success with lines out the door of people picking up jugs of the brew. After less than a year daily deliveries started heading to Jamestown and Erie. Warren was always flying off the handle at someone, delivery people, suppliers, even customers, but most of all his Master Brewer. It didn’t take long for Warren to gain the nickname “Wicked Warren” among the town’s folk.
The Brew Master had had enough after a berating by Warren that turned into a physical altercation. During the altercation the brewer picked up a stirring paddle and beat Warren to death. The Brew Master was so scared, he disposed of Warren by adding him to the in-house Wood Fired Pizza Oven and diminishing him to Ashes.
It has long been documented that Warren continues to “Stir the pot” by haunting the old brewery!
CHAPTER II
Truth be known that the only thing Warren was haunting was the rumors that the Brew Master killed him. You see, there never was any truth to the killing and the Brew Master was never convicted. Come to find out the rumors of Warren’s death was just a cover up so he could escape the reality of a murder that he himself had committed. You see, Warren was still maintaining his affair with the Kerosene owner’s daughter
but could not go public with it because her father threatened to kill him if he ever touched his daughter again. Not only was he touching the daughter, but he was also having relations with a woman he met in Jamestown when he was delivering beer up there. The Jamestown women was a beautiful red head that was playful and full of life with a charismatic personality that drew Warren to her immediately. Eveline
loved the fact that Warren was a bad boy.
The daughter found out about Eveline and confronted Warren immediately which quickly resulted in a heated argument. The daughter threatened Warren that she had had enough and was going to tell her father that he embezzled the money after all. This threw Warren over the edge, and he killed her on the spot and ran away to Jamestown in the middle of the night with nothing but a stolen horse and a bag full of
money.
After shaving his famous mustache and curly hair Warren maintained a low profile in Jamestown. He Reestablished himself in Jamestown and started another brewery. The new brewery was much larger than the Warren Brewery and was set up to distribute as far north as Buffalo.
It seems Warren turned over a new leaf when he moved to Jamestown. Eveline and he were married and had a daughter. They named their beautiful daughter Flora Belle.
Will marriage and fatherhood change Warren for good?
